Welcome!

Whether you are a new mom or a mom-to-be (who feels like she has waited for-ev-er!) I hope you will find thoughts and resources here that are refreshing. I am an adoptive mom myself and I designed Scrapbook My Adoption as a way to record my son’s journey of life.  Here you will find a mix of everything from what eccentric thoughts go through my head at 3 a.m. to what I wish I would have done differently as a mom yesterday; when I spot something making news about adoption–and I have time to blog about it–I’ll give my 2 cents. As a Christian author, I’ve meant some amazing women who are adoption coaches and authors about books on adoption, and if I think you’ll love their stuff, I’ll pass it along!

YOU help make this blog a great place for others to gather, so be sure to share your opinions, experiences in more in the comments section. Surely, I can’t be the only one wondering about some of these adoption topics, right?

And if you’d like me to consider blogging about your blog, email me! And then go grab the button at the bottom (scroll down) that tells the world you’ve been featured!

PS: In case you are curious, first, yes, I am a real person but am taking tons of prednisone to control my rheumatoid arthritis so AM NOT posting any photos of my “moon face” (Lovely term). But I do have a sense of humor about it–enough that I share about the icky side effects on my YouTube clip called, well. . . “Side Effects!” Which leads to my other passions which are are writing, speaking, etc. So this is the standard lisacopen.com page about my books, speaking engagements and more. Most of my days are spent volunteering for my ministry for those with chronic illness, Rest Ministries. Wondering what the typical day is like for a chronically ill mom? Here is a glimpse! If you really want to get to know me (don’t say I didn’t warn you) the best way is on Twitter @lisajcopen . Here I bare all (well, not quite all, but you get the idea.)

So… on to the exciting posts below!

    Lisa,
I found your blog looking for digital adoption scrapbook ideas and read this entry. I too have chronic illness (lupus) and no need to even get me started on icky medicine side effects. Keep up the great work!
