Sandra Bullock Announces Adoption

I think most of us women felt our heart pulled in March when it was discovered that Sandra Bullock’s husband had been cheating on her and she packed up her stuff and left her home. Today it was announced that despite the heartbreak she was going through about her marriage, she was also experiencing the joy of being a new mom. Through the gift of adoption!

“He’s just perfect, I can’t even describe him any other way,” Bullock reveals exclusively in the new issue of People magazine.

Bullock and James, began the process of adoption four years ago, putting to rest that celebrities always get preferred treatment. Bullock said she and James sought to pull no strings as they submitted to the typically time-consuming screening process, with no thoughts to the gender or background of the child they might receive. The baby, 3 1/2-month-old is named Louis Bardo Bullock. They brought him home in January, but decided to keep the news private until after the craziness of the Oscars. He is from the New Orleans area.

Sandra is quoted in People magazine as saying,

“You wake up, you feed, you burp, you play, you do laundry,” she said. “I’m still in that stage where I’m just amazed with him and at life. All I said when I met him was, ‘Oh, there you are.’ It was like he had always been a part of our lives.”

We know that Sandy must be going through a wide range of emotions but we wish to celebrate this time with her. She adopted this baby believing that she and her husband, the love of her life, would be parents to this little one together. Now she admits, “Yes, I have filed for divorce,” the 45-year-old Oscar-winning actress said in an interview. “I’m sad and I am scared.”
